Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

Mr Lee Kuan Yew made great contributions to Singapore which all of us are proud of now. The qualities that he had enabled him to do so which is rare. I am thankful and proud of how much Singapore had achieved; a place where netizens feel safe to live in harmoniously.

Most Meaningful Tribute in my opinion

His perseverance and originality was what that made his picture the most meaningful tribute to me.Drawing such a beautiful picture takes a lot of time and effort, let alone using his name to draw out the picture.Mr Lee Kuan Yew's name was written around 18,000 times to create a portrait of Mr Lee Kuan Yew.Writing Mr Kuan Yew's name was not that easy too. They had to be off different font size and of different fonts.A lot of time and perseverance has to be devoted in order to make this beautiful picture.

Remembering Lee Kuan Yew

"He was a true giant of history who will be remembered for generations to come as the father of modern Singapore and as of one of the great strategies of Asian affairs." - Barack Obama, President of the united states.
Thank You Mr Lee Kuan Yew for dedicating your entire life to the building of SIngapore. Without you, we would not be here today.

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew...

Not only was Mr Lee Kuan Yew the founding father of modern Singapore, he also maintained a close and positive relationship with leaders from other countries. He was known as a mentor to other political leaders as he would advice them on making decisions for the country. By doing so, Singapore became more well known to the world and was able to get the assistance they needed while developing from a third to first world country:)

Tribute to LKY

The tribute was meaningful to me cos he put in his best and placed the responsibility of governing SG on his shoulders without complaint.

Lee Kuan Yew tribute

Lee Kuan Yew: " At the end of the day, what have I got? A successful Singapore. What have I given up? My life."

"He was a true giant of history who will be remembered for generations to come as the father of modern Singapore and one of the great strategists of Asian affairs."  -Barack Obama

Lee Kuan Yew has devoted his entire life to build Singapore, he was a great leader and he built relationships with many parts of the world. Without him, we would not be where we are today.

Tribute to Lee Kuan Yew- Yu Heng

This is my most meaningful quote. It lets us reflects and appreciate Mr Lee. It was because of him that our living conditions are so good now, having a good life with reasonable paying jobs. He dedicated his entire life to changing our lives for the better. Even though his leadership wasn't perfect, what he did were really important to us and Singapore wouldn't be possible without him. We shall continue to build on his legacy and make Singapore a even better place.

The tribute that was most meaningful to me

"He leaves behind a legacy of accomplishments, among them the transformation of a trouble-ridden, ethnically divided city to become a country - all in 50 years - where all of us have space and a common density to work towards."
-Former President, Mr. S. R. Nathan

I think this quote is the most meaningful out of all the quote as I think this quote shows hows Mr. Lee's contribution pays off. Mr. Lee's generous contributions and sacrifices has transformed this city from a dirty, rioting and separated country to one which is clean, safe and have a place for everyone to work in. This was done in just 50 years and because of the accomplishments he have made, we have the today's Singapore.

Tribute for Lee Kuan Yew - Santosh

"He impressed me with his clarity of intellect, with his strength that that he showed in facing his challenges, and with the courage in which he defended his position. "
- Former Secretary State of the United States of America Dr Henry A. Kissinger

This quote is meaningful as I agree with Dr Kissinger that he is very intelligent and can face his challenges without a problem.  He is also brave in whatever he do and is mindful in what he speaks. He had the courage to lead a country in discipline way.

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew-Royce

Mr Lee Kuan Yew was passionate as he was the only leader to stand up to the British, to have a separation with Malaya. He made Singapore democratic where everyone could voice out what they wanted to say. He treats the whole of Singapore as a family, not just as step-daughter and step-sons. He had a vision that Singapore will be a Garden City, hence he started it by planting a tree every year, and look at how Singapore is now. He made students learn Chinese, as it would be a universal language soon to come. Without him, Singapore would not be standing at where it is now.

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew- Lisantra

This tribute was meaningful to me as it shows the attributes Mr Lee Kuan Yew had which many people admired. He was known for 'the man of his words'. Lady Thatcher admired Mr Lee Kuan Yew a lot. This also proved that other influential people looked up to Mr Lee Kuan Yew for his character and attributes. They also learnt a lot from him which benefited them in their own lives.  She also mentioned that he was very clear in his views and his vision of the future. These were some of the great attributes in him which made him the Father of the Nation.

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew-Pranav

I chose this tribute because Mr Lee's identity was known to the world leaders. The World leaders love the way that Mr Lee lead Singapore and how he brought up Singapore into a first world country within a short period of time.Even some of the world leaders are trying to lead like Mr Lee had lead Singapore.Lady Thatcher loved the way that Mr Lee gave his speeches, like directly and Mr Lee was always thinking of the future and he had a vision which was very strong.

Tribute to LKY - Quotes from people

This quote resonates with me the most as without Mr Lee's guidance, we would not have progressed so far and so quickly. I personally respect him for his qualities as well.

The tribute that was most meaningful for me

Mr Ong Yi Teck took 15 hours to make this art by writing Mr Lee Kuan Yew's name about 18,000 times. The picture was not on a normal A4 paper but a A2 paper. He also said "No shortcut in art and clearly none in building a nation. It takes a great deal of dedication and perseverance."

Tribute to Lee Kuan Yew

Mr Lee is very strong in his views and always supports it full-heartedly. Mr Lee Kuan Yew is indeed respected by all Government Leaders, including Lady Thatcher. He is the best Prime Minister where he has contributed to what we have today and his vision to bring us out of the third-world country to first-world.

Tribute that resonated with me

This tribute is the most meaningful to me as I agree with this quote that Mr Lee Kuan Yew, stated by this fellow secondary school student . I respect Mr Lee for his courage , determination and foresight as without those attributes , he would not have lead Singapore to the Metropolis city that it now is . I am grateful for what Mr Lee had done for Singapore , giving up his life to lead Singapore . I admire Mr Lee for those attributes that he had and without him , Singapore would probably still be a fishing village hence I chose this quote .

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

"Lady Thatcher once said that there was no prime minister she admired more than Mr Lee for 'the strength of his convictions, the clarity of his views, the directness of his speech and his vision of the way ahead."

-Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, David Cameroon

This quote was meaningful to me as it showed me that Mr Lee helped to bring Singapore from 3rd world to 1st and was well respected by world leaders.Mr Lee was like a mentor to other world leaders and without him,Singapore would not be what it is today.

Tribute that resonated with me

Mr Lee Kuan Yew was a man of action and spoke each word couragously. He will be remembered by people of all ages and for generations. He was the man who shaped Singapore from a small fishing village into a mordern city on its own

Best tribute

I chose this one
because Lee Kwan Yew helped with the relationship between China and USA, also forging a relationship between China and Singapore.

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew - CTH

This tribute is the most meaningful to me because this shows Mr Lee is one of the most influential people in the world, even getting compliments from famous people all over the world. He is considered a role model to world leaders everywhere and many famous world leaders including the late Lady Thatcher even feels that he was a great man. Mr Lee once said that he would rise from his deathbed if Singapore was in trouble, this shows his commitment to making Singapore.

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew- Jianing

This tribute is the most meaningful to me as is shows that Mr Lee Kuan Yew knew many leaders from many countries, even quite influential people like Lady Thatcher. Also, it shows that Lady Thatcher respects Mr Lee Kuan Yew and admires him for his personality and attitude. She said that he was a good visionary, and knew what to do for the betterment of Singapore. This simple praise shows that he was really affecting people around the world and could earn respect from them.

Yugan- which tribute was the most meaningful to you? Why?

Which tribute was the most meaningful to you?
He was a true giant of History who will be remembered for generations to come as the father of modern Singapore and as one of the great strategist of Asian affairs- Barack Obama, President of the United States.

Mr Barack Obama, President of the United States, has said a lot about the tribute of LKY. He said that LKY was a true giant of History and it is true as he made Singapore a modern city.

Most Meaningful Tribute In My Opinion

“The things you have done for us are beyond words. But you will never really leave us. Because you will always be in our minds when we see our Singapore flag soaring high up in the sky.”

Mr Lee has done a lot for us as the founding father of Singapore. He paved the way of a clean garden city and better education for us the younger generation. He might have left on but he will be remembered deeply in our hearts.
